Therapeutic indications:
Sodium Chloride 0.9% intravenous infusion is indicated for:
• Treatment of isotonic extracellular dehydration
• Treatment of sodium depletion
• Vehicle or diluent of compatible drugs for parenteral administration.
Features
Nature and contents of container:
• Bag sizes: 50, 100, 250, 500 or 1000 mL
• The bags known as Viaflo are composed of polyolefin/polyamide co-extruded plastic (PL-2442).
• The bags are overwrapped with a protective plastic pouch composed of polyamide/polypropylene.
Special precautions for storage:
• 50 and 100 ml bags: Do not store above 30°C.
• 250, 500 and 1000 ml bags: This medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions.
Shelf life:
• Chemical and physical stability of any additive at the pH of Sodium Chloride 0.9% Intravenous Infusion in the Viaflo container should be established prior to use.
• From a microbiological point of view, the diluted product must be used immediately unless dilution has taken place in controlled and validated aseptic conditions. If not used immediately, in-use storage times and conditions are the responsibility of the user.

Prescription supply
At the basket, you will be asked per line whether each prescription-eligible item is being ordered on prescription for a named patient or as clinic stock under your responsibility.
Named-patient prescription supply. Lines marked for a named patient are dispensed against your prescription. The order is held for Superintendent Pharmacist review before despatch. Prescription supply is zero-rated for VAT.
Clinic stock supply. Lines marked as clinic stock are supplied under your professional responsibility for use in your practice. Standard VAT applies at checkout.
Orders containing prescription-only medicines (POM) are held until the Superintendent Pharmacist has cleared the prescription. Same-day dispatch applies once cleared.

Delivery & Returns
Dispatch: Orders approved before 3pm Monday to Friday ship the same day for next-working-day delivery via tracked courier. Cold-chain products travel in temperature-controlled packaging.
Returns: Sealed, in-date, unopened items may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Cold-chain items cannot be returned once dispatched. Contact our trade team to start a return.
Documentation: Every dispatch includes batch and expiry information suitable for your clinic's compliance records.
