Prescription items are supplied only against a valid, patient-specific prescription.
Description
Relfydess® 100 Units/ml
Botulinum Toxin Type A | Solution for Injection | Prescription Only Medicine
Relfydess® 100 units/ml is a prescription-only medicinal product containing botulinum toxin type A, manufactured from Clostridium botulinum and free from complex proteins. It is supplied as a clear, colourless to pale yellow solution for injection and is ready to use, with no reconstitution required. Each vial contains 150 units in 1.5 ml of solution. Relfydess potency units are specific to this preparation and are not interchangeable with units of other botulinum toxin products.
Licensed indications
Relfydess is licensed for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe:
- Glabellar lines — vertical lines between the eyebrows seen at maximum frown
- Lateral canthal lines — commonly referred to as crow's feet, seen at maximum smile
The licensed indication applies to adult patients under 65 years where the severity of the lines has an important psychological impact. Relfydess can be used for glabellar lines and lateral canthal lines individually or in combination.
Why Relfydess?
Relfydess has a ready-to-use liquid formulation, meaning that reconstitution is not required before administration. This provides a convenient presentation for appropriately qualified healthcare professionals.
Clinical studies have demonstrated improvement in the appearance of glabellar and lateral canthal lines compared with placebo. The current SmPC includes data from pivotal studies and repeat-treatment cycles, providing healthcare professionals with product-specific clinical evidence when considering treatment suitability.
